The RFU exists to promote and develop rugby
union in England and to ensure clubs’ long term
sustainability by growing player numbers and
retaining them across age groups.
Responding to wider market influences, work
will continue on developing new ways to take part
in all forms of the game without compromising
the sport’s traditions. Ensuring a lasting legacy
from elite success by attracting new players
and encouraging current male and female adult
players to play more 15-a-side rugby.
