32. RFU Injured Players Foundation
The financial results and position of the RFU Injured Players Foundation, which are included in the Group financial
statements, are provided below on the grounds that its funds may only be applied towards its charitable objects and
therefore are material by nature. The RFU Injured Players Foundation’s charitable objects are primarily for the provision
of financial assistance to rugby players who have suffered catastrophic injuries.

In 2011/12, the IPF became the Trustee of the SPIRE sub-trust whose assets were held in a permanent endowment.
Only the interest generated by this fund is available to be spent by the IPF. In the 2015/16 season, this fund generated
£202,429 of income which was wholly spent on grants made to IPF clients.
